Classy Truck of the Month
This
1999 Kenworth T-800 with Cat diesel engine started life
as a milk truck. Scott and Lorianne Ende, owners of Ende
Septic, bought is in 2003. Engle Fabrication of Sauk Center,
Minn., removed the hitch and rear tag axle and shortened
the frame, then installed the new tank and equipment. The
4,000-gallon, 1/4-inch Corten steel tank has a 36-inch rear
manway and a Masport ILXL-20WV liquid-cooled vacuum pump
with 3-inch primary and secondary shutoff traps. The tank
has two PTO's, one for the vacuum pump drive and one for
the hydraulic hoist; 6-inch knife valve on the rear, 4-inch
loading valve on the rear head, and 3-inch loading valves
on each side at the front. Other features include stainless
steel hose trays on each side and 14 1/2-inch stainless
steel scuff strips above the trays. There are three, 5-inch
sight glasses on the rear head; the passenger side of the
tank has a stainless steel side compartment.
